Autumn Blessings.....

Hello! Well it is all change here in Devon, it seems that with the new school term beginning  the first leaves on the trees are beginning to fall.....

And Autumn breezes are beginning to blow...

This is my favourite time of year, I have found myself  'nesting' and generally getting ready for the Winter, tidying the sheds-( what a job!!) sorting out goodies for the winter markets, making sure the cupboards are all tidy, filling the pantry with flour, raisins and baking ingredients and generally looking forward to warm suppers and cosy evenings...

I have been growing  herbs over the summer and am now drying them and reading all about how to use them in foods,teas, soaps,shampoos and medicines...

 It is wonderfully interesting and rewarding....but I still have so much to learn! A lifetime of learning ahead I think....and a new career interest??

I hope that the summer has treated you all kindly and I send you many.....

Warm Wishes for a Wonderful Weekend...

You have completely hit the nail on the head... I have never felt this conected to my surroundings and the passing of time... I think this year has been a real blossoming of my soul and a new dimension in my being achieved... I am reading up on preserves and jam making and I am clearing out and nesting down for winter in a big way... I love this post thank you!

I have an award for you over at my blog...

Autumn does seem to have arrived suddenly doesn't it?
I've been drying herbs too and the house smells wonderful. I'm also jam making, frantically stocking the cupboards for Winter, it's a good feeling :D

Hello Cally !
It has been a long since I haven't written some words on your blog ! (I'm not sure of the conjugation ...)
I have had a "long holiday-break, lol)
I love autumn too, it's my favourite season. At the moment the sun always shines in Brittany, the days are shorter but it's nice. The weather forecast says autumn will really "be there" next week-end. Perhaps we'll go to collect chestnuts.
Have a nice week-end ! +++

Hi, I have just discovered your blog whilst searching for Sally Swannell products. She is one of my favourite artists - I too am a Phoenix Trader! I have recently started a blog about family life and renovating our bungalow! I see a couple of blogs you follow are the same as me! Pop by my blog if you want, there isn't much to it yet as I am quite new and busy with my first Phoenix Christmas! I love your blog, lots of lovely photos.
