Let there be light - and there was!

Well, these were the goodies that I was preparing for the Christmas Stall on Saturday.  It went very well and people seemed very pleased to see traditional things, sadly in all the excitement I forgot my camera!  So there is only this before shot.....

We went quite Scandinavian  as you can see.....

As our sitting room is also Scandinavian,  here's a wreath that I made for our window which faces onto the garden and a stream - there's no light at all so I thought it would be nice to light it up a little.....

 And by evening light.....

And of course now we can open our Advent Calendars.....

These two are by Sally Swannell, whose work I absolutely love!
P.S:I bought these last year and saved them as I loved them so much,so I am STILL sticking to my pledge - nothing from the high street....

Warm Wishes for a Wonderful Week

Une belle réusite ! J'aime vraiment beaucoup, le rouge, le blanc et le doré sont mes couleurs de Noël préférées.
In France, at the moment French women like "scandinavian style" but scandinavian here is "grey, beige and white" ... and I prefer "scandinavian Xmas" I see on British blog : more traditionnal and not so "fashion"
I like grey but not for a festive Christmas.

Lovely heart in the garland and lovely red and white bags. What a pity : I don't live in England ...
Have a nice day. +++

Bonjour Guenievre!
Yes I agree, there was a lovely shop we visited in Valbonne, which had some very pretty things but it was all beige or grey! I LOVE red and white as you can see,but I also have some more antique looking things in old fashioned colours on the kitchen dresser which I love too...
I hope that you are well and happy,
Warm Wishes,

Thank you for visiting me.
Don't know what I like most, your Scandinavian wreath or the advent calendars, both are quite lovely!

Hi Cally,

Just popped over to see if you have decorated yet,as I so loved your little cabin, and knew that your house would look just splendid, and it does! I have the very same advent calendar, the bottom one of the dresser, I've had it for about three years now and never tire of it, its out every year just the same!
Enjoy the run up to the Big Day xx
