Reading Matter(s).....

Oh dear, did I mention the coming of Spring a little too early???

Oops,I hope that you are all warm and cosy EVEN if you are under a blanket of snow!

No such luck here I am afraid, just horrible cold drizzly rain...

So when the weather is not much fun, time to do the only sensible thing-eat and curl up with a good book!

So firstly we went out for lunch - sadly I forgot my camera, we had lunch here...

'The Meeting Room' in Kingsbridge....

I had a bowl of the most wonderful steaming hot aromatic stew and a glass of equally delicious Merlot-then we trawled the charity shops for books to take home and read!

Firstly I couldn't resist these....

  ...for 20pence each...

They are the ones that my Grandmother read to me as a child-well not the actual ones but it was lovely to see the Ladybird ones that I remember so well and read until they fell apart! Still looking for The Elves and the Shoemaker-my favourite!

The complete works of Lewis Carroll- for £1.50....

The Borrowers,Brer Rabbit and The Folk of the Faraway Tree....all for £1.00 each...

I know they are largely childrens books but I am hoping that my niece will love reading as much as I did and I have 'tons' of books- just in case....

Then I found...

a couple of 'rainy afternoon' books...

And when we got home this was waiting in the post box...

Ah, another busy weekend.....

Though in between the reading I did manage a good walk...
So I haven't been completely idle!

Warm Wishes for a 'cosy' week,
Callie

My comments have not published, I just realised what the e mails were about now!!! Glad youve sorted it out! I had a lot of sow on Saturday night. Unfortunately I was working and it was really busy, we didn't stop for 12 hours! I would love to have been snuggled up!
